Wedding Songs, Aren't They Getting Old
Bad Wedding Songs

Could someone please tell me why a DJ would play such terrible songs like YMCA, We are Family, The Chicken Dance or Celebration at a wedding? Sure it might get a few people up out of their seats and on the dance floor, but those people are idiots with bad taste in music. And haven’t we come up with better upbeat, celebratory dance songs in the last couple of decades. We’re still playing the same hideous songs that don’t seem to get any better with time. If people would stop requesting these songs, we’d all be one step closer to making this world a better place!

There’s a long list of wedding songs that could easily fill the DJ’s playlist that would better compliment the night’s celebration. Everything from Frank Sinatra’s The Way You Look Tonight and Shaun Barrowes’ When I Take Your Hand, to Little Less Converstion by Elvis and With a Little Help from My Friends by the Beatles. These are all great wedding songs that can make the night seem more like a true celebration. It also wouldn’t hurt to be original and try using songs that aren’t so popular. Perhaps finding music by independent or local artists would make your night a more unique, magical night for everyone, and would introduce some great new music to all your friends and family. Either way, please stop playing bad wedding songs and assuming that everyone is enjoying them. Because we’re not. Let's get new wedding songs.
